Description

If you manage or operate a Regulated Health Service (defined below) then you may need to consider a policy that governs your staff and practitioner’s use Social Media and the process and protocol by which the practice can undertake advertising. Increasingly, regulated health services are being scrutinised by AHPRA for violations of the advertising guidelines under Section 133 of the National Law. A Social Media & Advertising policy will address many of the key risks of violating these guidelines and set out expectations for staff and practitioner’s use of social media and public comments that may harm the reputation of the practice.

Included in the Social Media & Advertising Policy are terms in relation to:

  • Posting on Social Media by Staff and Practitioners;
  • Protocols for Public Comment;
  • Boundaries with clients;
  • Anti-bullying and harassment; and,
  • Protocol for advertising health services compliant with the National Law;

This is a policy intended for use by staff, practitioners and external advertising agencies.

Our templates are drafted in plain English. We don’t use complex legalese or longwinded definitions. Our templates are designed to be relied on by busy practitioners to keep things fair, compliant and simple.
